The Foster Street Bakery began in 2004 after a trip back to her home- town of Kenton, Ohio, and a coffee shop located on the “square” of this historic downtown, filled owner, Tara Wilson, with a desire to bring that charm to downtown Dothan. As a second generation cake artist with 17 years experience, Tara’s dream of owning a bakery had finally come to fruition. Seven years later the specialty cake side of Tara’s vision has grown to the point of requiring an entire restructuring of her shop to support her growing cake business.
Our only rule at Foster Street Bakery is that it has to taste as good as it looks. All of our cakes are made to order and always fresh. We have over 20 varieties of cake--if you don't see it on our list, don't be afraid to ask because we can probably make it!
At Foster Street Bakery, we are motivated by our customers' enthusiasm and our own standard of excellence. We strive to not only keep up with the continuing changes in the art of cake design, but also ways to make them taste better by specializing in a butter cream fondant that achieves a smooth, flawless finish while tasting fantastic. Each cake is carefully created to be the centerpiece of your event no matter how casual or formal. We cater to each of our clients individual needs.
